Crayfish breeding

This business can be implemented in two ways: to breed crayfish in a pond or factory breeding. In terms of benefits, the optimal way is the first, but for home conditions both will be appropriate.

For the cultivation of crayfish, natural reservoirs of homesteads or farms are suitable and created artificially with dusted sand or stones at the bottom. Crayfish prefer sandy or clay soils, where there is sludge, which they need for the construction of burrow dwellings. The intensity of water exchange is also important for crayfish.

With independent breeding of crayfish, special attention should be paid to the temperature of the water and its chemical composition. In winter, the pond should not freeze, due to the low temperature of the water, crayfish simply go into hibernation until spring, this does not contribute to their development and growth process. The optimum temperature is 18 degrees, it must be maintained in the pond year-round.

From time to time, it is required to separate older and younger offspring in order to maintain the normal development and growth of cancers. In this case, the crayfish are caught in a net.

How to start a business

First you need to buy females and males, carry out their delivery to the reservoir. A female is able to lay up to 100 eggs, so you can focus on the amount of purchase of material. It takes 5 years to cultivate a self-reproducing herd.

Crayfish belong to creatures that are characterized by cannibalism, so in April it is required to capture females, then transplant them into the mother ponds. The water there should be clean, with a constant temperature - 21-22 degrees.

In about two years, crayfish mature, over this period they reach a length of 10-12 cm, weight - 40-70 g. For sale, they often use yearlings, which also bring good income. In Russia, the most beneficial for breeding are dry and long-toed crayfish.

You need to feed the crayfish regularly. And although they are omnivorous, they can consume both the remnants of fish and aquatic plants, you still need to feed them, which can be used raw or boiled meat, fish, animal feed, vegetables. Food is usually laid out on wire trays.
